GOOGLE UK BANS VIEWING OF PREMIUM MUSIC VIDEOS!
From this Monday gone, March 9th, Google has blocked the viewing of all premium music videos on YouTube in a move they say was a “painful decision” that would cause “significant disapointment” to music fans in the UK.
The ban is a result of a breakdown in negotiations between the web industry giant and PRS For Music, the consortium who license Google to provide the music videos.
PRS says Google wants to pay less in fees to the writers of original music and Google says PRS’ renewal deal is prohibitive and economically unsustainable for them.
PRS goes on to say that this drastic and unexpected action from Google “punishes music lovers and songwriters”.
Does that mean that we will or won’t be able to see Britney’s video taken backstage in her first night comeback tour in USA that Perez Hilton has put out an APB for that may allegedly show her with her p***y hanging out in a quick-change costume malfunction?
